"Running" is an instrumental single by Paulo Vatayan, released in April on streaming platforms. Built around a constant rhythmic motif on a single note, the track develops into a fast pop-driven melody, while the left hand suggests drums and bass throughout the piece. The composition reflects Paulo Vatayan's modern and rhythm-focused approach as an independent composer and producer.

"Agora" is the first original solo album by pianist and composer Paulo Vatayan. The instrumental work reflects his eclectic musical approach, combining influences from classical, pop, rock, jazz and improvisation. Created through a close relationship with the piano, the album develops melodic and atmospheric pieces with a contemporary and expressive sound.
The pianist, composer and improviser Paulo Vatayan has developed an artistic path that moves between classical music, jazz, pop/rock, and other musical languages, with a strong connection to improvisation and to meditative practice as part of his creative work at the piano.
He holds a degree from the Escola Superior de Música e Artes do Espectáculo (Porto), having studied with Pedro Burmester and Sofia Lourenço, and a Master's degree in Music Education from the University of Minho. He has attended advanced training courses and masterclasses, among others, with Vitalij Margulis, László Simon, Dmitri Bashkirov, and Luiz de Moura Castro. Alongside performing, he pursued an extensive teaching career in vocational music education for 20 years, including 17 years at the Calouste Gulbenkian Conservatory of Music in Braga.
In 2015, he released the solo album "Agora", featuring original works, and presented it live at Theatro Circo (Braga). The project has been described as a portrait of his eclectic musical world—one that brings together influences from multiple genres—and as a space where the piano often becomes a starting point for real-time creation.
With documented activity since 1988, his trajectory includes more than 600 performances (concerts, events, and live recordings) in Portugal, Italy, India, Greece, and Turkey. He performs regularly at private and corporate events, bringing his artistic versatility to a wide range of settings.
Alongside his stage and recording activity, he created a pedagogical system designed for online distance learning, supported by step-by-step tutorial videos, and especially oriented towards adults and young people with no prior musical training. The first online course is planned for release in 2026, reflecting his ongoing commitment to teaching and to the wider dissemination of piano music.
